Stiri turistice Vatra Dornei

Incepand de azi 16 iulie 2010, sa deschis la Vatra Dornei, la capatul liniei de telescaun o partie de tubing de vara. Sunteti asteptati sa o incercati.

Batranii povestesc in legatura cu numele de Dorna a orasului urmatoarea legenda. Dragos Voda, "descalecatorul" Moldovei a venit sa vaneze in partile noastre. Aici a intilnit o fata frumoasa ca o zana, cu par balai si cu numele de Dorina. Dragos a plecat la vanatoare si intr-o padure deasa i s-a aratat o caprioara pe care a inceput sa o urmareasca.Caprioara iute de picior, a scapat insa mereu de sagetile vanatorului, dar ostenita, s-a oprit pentru o clipa sa-si traga sufletul langa un brad cu trunchiul gros. Dragos a intins arcul si a tras.De dupa copac s-a auzit un tipat omenesc de durere si caprioara a facut un salt, dupa care s-a pierdut in padure. Dragos s-a apropiat de brad si a vazut ca in locul caprioarei o ucisese pe frumoasa Dorina. Plin de remuscari Dragos a inmormantat-o chiar pe locul unde fusese ucisa si in amintirea ei a botezat locul si raul din preajma Vatra Dornei, devenita in timp Vatra Dornei de azi. Pe fata o chema Dorina, asa cum se numesc si astazi multe fete din partea locului si sunt alintate de cei apropiati Doruta sau Dorna.
